7 Best Coffee Makers for RVs

There is nothing better than a hot cup of coffee in the morning. While manufacturers do not make specific coffee makers for RVs, several brewers work better than others, especially considering the storage limitations of traveling in an RV.

Best Coffee Makers for RVs: Keurig K-Mini Plus

K-cup pods have become one of the most popular methods for making coffee, and Keurig has long been the gold standard among K-Cup coffee makers. The Keurig K-Mini Plus (Check it out on Amazon) is our favorite option among the K-cup models. Like all Keurigs, it brews a perfect cup of coffee and is ideal for RV life because it takes up very little space. As a bonus, this model comes with K-cup storage that stores up to 9 k-cup pods when the coffee maker is not in use.

Best Coffee Makers for RVs: Elite Gourmet Personal Coffee Maker

If you prefer to use coffee grounds to brew your coffee, the Elite Gourmet Personal Coffee Maker (Check it out on Amazon) is a great option. Grind your coffee beans with an Electric Burr Coffee Grinder (Check it out on Amazon). This grinder is portable and easy to carry in your camper without taking up a lot of space. A manual grinder (Check it out on Amazon) takes even less space and gives the freshest taste possible.

Best Coffee Makers for RVs: Mixpresso Espresso Machine

We recommend the Mixpresso Espresso Machine (Check it out on Amazon) for a good cup of espresso in the morning. This model is compatible with Nespresso Capsules so that you can brew the perfect cup of espresso every time. Purchase an Electric Milk Frother (Check it out on Amazon) to create the perfect latte.

Although it takes up more counter space, we have friends who love the Nespresso/K-cup Combo (Check it out on Amazon).

Best Coffee Makers for RVs: Mt. Hagen Instant Coffee with Electric Kettle

Brandi has discovered the world of instant coffee. She loves Mt. Hagen Instant Coffee (Check it out on Amazon). We keep single packets of Mt. Hagan in the camper and larger bags at home. An electric kettle (Check it out on Amazon) is used to boil our water. The boiler is easy to use and can heat water for other drinks such as hot chocolate and tea when on the road.

In addition, Brandi uses a portable milk frother to warm her milk first. Then, she pours the warmed milk in the bottom of the cup with the instant grounds to brew her favorite home coffee. This method creates a cup that is similar in taste to a café au lait served at Café du Monde in New Orleans. Our son, Jackson, strongly dislikes the smell of coffee. Using instant coffee helps eliminate the aroma of brewed coffee for those that do not like it.

Best Coffee Makers for RVs: Chemex

Many people love to make single cups of pour-over coffee. For years Brandi used a Chemex each morning. The pour-over process is pretty simple to do in an RV. All you need is an electric kettle to heat your water, a Chemex (Check it out on Amazon), and Chemex filters (Check them out on Amazon). This method is similar to a French Press, and the one that many coffee baristas use to brew coffee.

Best Coffee Makers for RVs: Cuisinart Four Cup Coffee Maker

Here are a few options if you prefer to make more than one cup of coffee at a time.

The  Cuisinart Four Cup Coffee Maker (Check it out on Amazon) is an excellent model. This drip coffee maker is still small and compact, so it does not take up a lot of space in the RV.

Best Coffee Makers for RVs: Ninja Dual Brew System

The Ninja Dual Brew System (Check it out on Amazon) makes up to 12 cups of coffee at a time. This model is one of the most versatile. In addition to brewing up to 12 cups of drip coffee, it makes iced coffee and is compatible with K-cups as well. While this unit is a little larger, it is generally taller rather than wider, so it does not take up as much counter space as most coffee makers of this size. The Ninja also has a built-in frother.
